Overall, I thought Archetype was very good. It had a deep amber colour and hop aromas, and it came across a lot like an American West Coast IPA. Maybe that was because of the percentage, as it's described as an English IPA.

The hop profile tasted traditional, like a cask; there wasn't any massive, overpowering single hop taste.

I thought it was quite bitter with grapefruit and grassy notes. Dry and bitter finish.
